Vanessa Haakenson, CEO (Chief Entrepreneur Officer) is the owner and publisher of this site!

So who is this Vanessa person? Well I'm just like most of you, at least 50% of the population. I'm a single mom, internet entrepreneur who's looking to create sites that add value to people's lives.

I've been developing, designing, and publishing sites since 1992 (@ 16 yrs), that makes me ancient in the internet world. When I started using the internet I used the Mosaic web browser!

Bottom line, I'm a geek girl, I've been working remotely from home or anywhere with an internet connection, for the past 10 years and love it! I moved from San Diego, CA about 5 years ago to the mountains of Colorado and wouldn't trade it for the world. I love San Diego but I'm a mountain person.

What am I passionate about? Teaching, I have taught online; New ideas, I am serial entrepreneur; Designer, I have designed hundreds of sites; Open source, donating my time to PostNuke/Zikula for the past 7 years! My first love is education and life long learning.
